- Catch and consume fish: Catching and consuming fish is one of the fastest ways to level up your fishing skills. Each fish consumed grants fame points towards your mastery levels.
- Purchase and consume fish: If you don't have the time or resources to catch fish, consider purchasing them from the market. Look for affordable options that provide a good amount of experience.
- Combine either option with Learning Points usage.
Leveling Fishing in Albion Online
To level up Fisherman Mastery from level 0 to 100, you need either:
- 4,015,146 fame.
- 802,987 fame and 716 Learning Points.
To level up Fishing Specialist mastery from level 0 to 100, you need either:
- 8,024,452 fame.
- 1,604,852 fame and 1,428 Learning Points.
To level both mastery and specialist from level 0 to 100, you will need at least 1,604,852 fame and 2,144 Learning Points. This is equivalent to consuming approximately 7,643 
River Sturgeon.

Tips to make the best-informed decision
- Check prices and volume for different cities to find the best option for you.
- Consider setting up orders in multiple cities to increase the speed of your buy orders being completed.
- Look for fish with a high volume and a good Fame Per Silver value.
- Use the Buy Order fee setting to calculate the price with the fee included.
- Use the Premium Fame toggle to switch between regular and premium fame when consumed.
Look for the highest number in the Fame Per Silver column. Higher values mean more fishing fame for each silver spent.
